Edwin have maintained their road trip aesthetic is for Spring/Summer 2012, albeit lighter in hue and tailored towards Big Sur as opposed to the Mid West. The bike, the intoxicating odour of petrol and the need for speed remain.
The highway aesthetic is inspired by the Edwin motorbike brotherhood ‘Sons of the Summer’ and the end result is the most comprehensive collusion of fabric, function and form from Edwin for many years.
The ED range is larger again for SS12 with a trio of new recruits including the ED-A1 (a light organic jean), the ED-55 (available for the first time in red-listed selvedge) and the ED-80 chino – a denim styled 5 pocket stretch twill chino in garment dye colours galore.
Knitwear is all about shawl, sat comfortably alongside hardwearing yet luxurious fine gauge Italian indigo dyed cottons. The shirting is from French mountain mills, where everything is developed secretly on the premises from the weave to the dye.
Shirting is designed for life and living before lifestyle, free n easy – chambrays, linen, poplins, stripes and check all cameo in this road trip movie of a collection. Western yolks and styling appear across the denim jacket offering. Grab your bandana, monkey wrench and battered old boots and we are ready to ride.
Look out for Edwin’s SS12 collection in our webstore over the next few weeks!
