One Nine Zero Six Autumn/Winter 2011

We hadn’t heard much from One Nine Zero Six until this week, but were really impressed by their latest lookbook offering. After a little digging, we discovered that they’re a small offshoot of Gymphlex and designed by Jeff Griffin. The collection consists of some great pieces including outerwear, shirting, knitwear and accessories, all made in the UK.

Gymphlex is already quite an established company in Japan and has been developing sportswear, workwear and high performance fabrics for over 100 years. Although they’re not so well known in the UK, they’ve been dressing British sporting champions for years and have manufactured for brands including Burberry and Barbour.

The brand say the new collection is “based on a clean, soft tailored aesthetic, with sharp lines the order of the day”. The lookbook does well to combine this statement with a subtle colour palette that gives this new label a forward thinking feel.

The collection looks to be a well thought out mix of classic styles, from the reversible trench to the smock shirt and the fabrics also look top notch with emphasis on the overall look as well as the detailing.
