Two new publications have shot straight to the top of our must-have list this week. Firstly, our Dutch friends at Tenue de Nîmes have released their 7th Journal de Nîmes today: The North American issue. Highlights of this issue include a portrait of Cone Denim and the New Haven Math Club photo-shoot for Gant Rugger. Another must-read feature is an extensive piece in which Tenue de Nîmes ask influencers like Andy Spade and Alain de Botton about their personal North American icons. With the disaster is Japan fresh in everyone’s minds, Tenue de Nîmes have decided to dedicate this issue to all of the people affected by the tragedy and will donate all revenues from the Journal both on and offline to ‘Second Harvest Japan’. To help Tenue de Nîmes support this initiative, buy your copy of the new print edition at the Amsterdam-based denim store or by emailing your request to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Another must read is the first issue of Pica-Post, a new twice-yearly publication showcasing the best clothing and footwear from Oi Polloi’s perspective. Best described as an extension of the Manchester store’s online feature Deck-Out, Pica-Post features staples such as Woolrich Woolen Mills, Nigel Cabourn and Yuketen, alongside relatively new additions Double RL and Burkman Bros. Illustration also features heavily, with contributions from previous Oi Polloi collaborator Ben Lamb. Pica-Post will be strictly limited to a short print run of 1000 copies, so if a printed copy alludes you, get your digital version at http://issuu.com/oipolloi/docs/pica-post-no1.
