For Autumn/Winter 2011, Mark McNairy is spearheading a new direction for Woolrich Woolen Mills with inspirations from military, maritime and ivy league uniforms. Well known for his acclaimed footwear and accessories, McNairy joined the brand in June 2010 and was given the task of taking it to another level.
Both formal and casual pieces are included in the AW11 collection and key pieces for us include the patterned wool duffle coat, black chinos and a number of the shirts. For this season, outgoing Woolrich Woolen Mills designer Daiki Suzuki teamed up with McNairy to create the Four Hands Parka, a unique reinterpretation of the classic Woolrich piece, the Arctic Parka. Clothing options aside, McNairy has also expanded the Woolrich Woolen Mills line of accessories with belts, bags and shoes and has created a full range including wool chukkas and a leather and canvas shoulder bag.
