We got these shots of the AW11 YMC collection through this week and thought we’d share them with you guys. YMC have built a solid reputation over the last couple of years and are known for putting signature design twists on traditional pieces and fabrics. This year’s winter collection is a presentation of modern silhouettes and textures combined with influences from the uniforms of 1960s servicemen and the British Air Force of World War II.
Classic outerwear styles are shaken up with contemporary design twists and a wide range of knitwear including cashmere jumpers and preppy collegiate cardigans are thrown in for good measure.
Favourite statement pieces for us are the signature YMC Work Jacket – a new season jersey version of the classic Chore jacket and the pocket crew tee which is offered in a 50s vintage fabric print bleached and garment washed.
Personal favourites aside, the stand-out story in this season’s collection has to be the capsule of Hunting and Fishing Camouflage print items. YMC have turned the ethos of camouflage on its head with a print guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd rather than blend in to the background.
The YMC Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection will be hitting stores soon.
